Winner of the open section of the inaugural Adelaide Sacred Music Composition Prize. Sponsored by the Choir of Pilgrim Church and St. Peter’s Cathedral Music Foundation.

The first performance of this piece was given by St Peter’s Cathedral Choir as part of their evensong service on 17 September 2023 at St Peter’s Cathedral and was conducted by Anthony Hunt. It was performed again by the same choir on 2 December 2023 as part of their ‘Wings of a Dove’ concert. This piece is a setting of Reginald Heber’s Evening Hymn and is perfect for use as an evensong anthem. It is suitable for intermediate choirs and can be prepared on a short rehearsal schedule.
