“Most of these short piano pieces were written over a period of two weeks in early January 2024. However, the final three: Bagatelles No. 17, 18, and 19, were written during a period from 2017 to 2020 and were added to the collection due to their similarity in duration character to the rest of the set.

The pieces were written as a way of experimenting with and expanding my approach to piano composition and demonstrate contrasting styles and characters. They may be performed in any order and need not be performed as a complete set. The collection is dedicated to my good friend and wonderful pianist, James Huon George.”
